MEET THE Artist

Ry San Jose

Our journeys as artists are rarely straight lines. They are like canvases that get layered over time, much like the murals I used to paint fifteen years ago. My career began in the raw, tactile world of street art, handling spray cans for graffiti and brushes for large-scale murals. That era taught me how to command a space visually, a skill that bled into my first ventures. I then took that eye for composition into the digital space, freelancing in graphic designs and built connections through local collaborations. During the pandemic, hands itching to paint outdoors, the community quarantines forced me to start trying out art forms from different environments. I later transitioned into painting canvases, and damn, it really helped me get through the thirst. Since then, If my time permits it, I’ll paint. And create.
